Nontransferable ticket

A nontransferable ticket is a type of travel ticket that cannot be transferred from one person to another. This means that the ticket is issued strictly in the name of a specific individual, typically the purchaser.

A nontransferable ticket cannot be sold, given away, or changed to another passenger’s name, even if the original holder no longer plans to travel. This policy helps airlines (or other travel providers) track and verify passenger identities for boarding, security checks, and regulatory purposes.

Non-transferable tickets also help prevent fraudulent activity, such as reselling tickets at a higher price.
