Trip.com Acquires Key Travel, Enters Nonprofit TMC Niche

China-based Trip.com Group has acquired Key Travel, a UK-based travel management company (TMC), through its corporate travel division, Trip.Biz.
Separately, Globespan Travel Management, based in Los Angeles, has acquired the US division of Key Travel. The financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Key Travel is a TMC serving the nonprofit sector, including humanitarian, religious, academic, and aid organizations. Given its specialized market, this deal adds a distinct niche and broadens Trip.Biz’s expertise.
Trip.com’s broader umbrella includes globally recognized travel brands such as Ctrip, Skyscanner, and Qunar.
Key Travel operates in nine countries across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regions. To maintain its core values and service standards, Key Travel’s brand identity and leadership team will be retained under Trip.Biz.
