New Sabre Tool Simplifies Chargeback Disputes for Travel Providers

Sabre Direct Pay, the travel payments division of Sabre Corporation, has introduced a new chargeback management platform designed to simplify the dispute resolution process for travel providers.
By integrating with Sabre Direct Pay’s payments platform, travel providers can initiate and manage chargeback disputes without having to deal with multiple issuer or acquirer systems. This eliminates the need for separate logins, manual data entry, and complex technical integrations.
Chargebacks in the travel industry are particularly complex because providers must first evaluate whether a customer’s refund request is valid and complies with the terms of sale, as many products and services, such as non-refundable bookings, may not be eligible for refunds.
Sabre Direct Pay’s new platform helps travel providers by automating issuer-specific formatting, evidence requirements, and submission rules, reducing administrative workload and enabling faster resolution times.
The solution is powered by Chargebacks911, a dispute resolution technology company that provides the core dispute management system, infrastructure, and issuer connectivity to process chargebacks on a large scale.
A couple of weeks ago, Sabre introduced its new agentic APIs, powered by Sabre’s proprietary MCP server and designed to automate travel shopping, booking, and servicing worldwide.
