Dar Global, the international arm of Saudi developer Dar Al Arkan, has announced plans to develop two Trump-branded luxury projects in Saudi Arabia with a combined value of $10 billion.

Projects in Riyadh and Jeddah

The Riyadh project will be located in Diriyah Gate, a major development on the western edge of the capital near a UNESCO World Heritage site. It will include a Trump National Golf Course and a Trump International Hotel designed to attract high-end leisure travelers, as well as large-scale meetings and events.

In Jeddah, Dar Global plans to build Trump Plaza, a mixed-use development combining office space and high-end residential units.

The developments aim to position Riyadh and Jeddah as premium global destinations that can compete with established luxury hubs such as Dubai.

Construction and delivery are expected to take place over the next four to five years.

Alignment with Vision 2030 reforms

The developments are part of the Kingdom’s broader Vision 2030 strategy to diversify the economy beyond oil.

The projects are expected to attract foreign investment, expand luxury tourism, and create new employment opportunities.

Starting January 2025, Saudi Arabia has also begun allowing foreign ownership of property in designated areas, a policy shift that is expected to increase international demand for high-end real estate.

Broader regional connectivity

The developments coincide with wider infrastructure investments in the region.

Saudi Arabia and Qatar recently confirmed plans for a 785 kilometre high-speed electric rail line connecting Riyadh and Doha. The link is expected to carry more than 10 million passengers annually and could reduce demand for short-haul flights while supporting tourism growth and integrated air and rail travel packages.
