Revolut Acquires Swifty, Blends Fintech with AI Travel Agent

Revolut, a British fintech company, has acquired Swifty, a two-year-old Berlin-based travel AI startup, for an undisclosed sum.
Swifty was born out of the Lufthansa Innovation Hub and specializes in AI-powered travel booking technology.
Swifty’s AI is designed as an AI travel agent that can independently manage the travel booking process.
Travelers start a conversation with Swifty’s AI agent, sharing their preferences for flights, hotels, and other aspects of their trip. The agent uses those criteria to create a shortlist for the user to select the preferred option.
After that, the AI agent completes the bookings, providing a consolidated itinerary along with travel documents and receipts.
By integrating this technology, Revolut aims to enhance its existing AI financial assistant and loyalty program, extending its reach into lifestyle automation and personalized travel experiences.
