Delta Air Lines reported its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year 2025, showing steady revenue growth.
Fourth quarter 2025 financial results
Revenue reached $16.0 billion, up from $15.6 billion in the same period of 2024.
Profit totaled $1.5 billion, resulting in an operating margin of 9.2 percent. This compares with operating income of $1.7 billion and an operating margin of 11.0 percent in the fourth quarter of 2024.
Earnings per share rose sharply to $1.86, compared with $1.29 a year earlier, reflecting disciplined cost management.
Full year 2025 financial results
Delta generated revenue of $63.4 billion, up from $61.6 billion in 2024.
Profit came in at $5.8 billion, producing an operating margin of 9.2 percent, slightly below the $6.0 billion and 9.7 percent margin reported in 2024.
Earnings per share increased to $7.66, a significant improvement from $5.33 in the prior year.
Delta also continued to strengthen its balance sheet, making $4.8 billion in payments toward debt and finance lease obligations, compared with $4.0 billion in 2024.
Diversified revenue and premium demand
Delta said growth in diverse, high-margin revenue streams was a key driver of overall performance.
In 2025, diversified revenue grew 7 percent year over year and accounted for 60 percent of total company revenue.
Premium revenue also increased 7 percent compared with 2024, supported by strong demand for premium cabins and branded products.
Amex partnership strength
The airline highlighted continued momentum in its co-brand credit card business with American Express. Remuneration from Amex grew 11 percent in 2025 to $8.2 billion, with more than 1 million new cardholders added for the fourth consecutive year, underscoring growing customer loyalty and brand preference.
