JetBlue’s Q4 2025: Losses, Revenue Gains, Partnerships

JetBlue has posted the financial update for the fourth quarter and the full year of 2025, revealing how it is balancing revenue challenges with targeted improvements and long-term strategic moves.
Fourth quarter 2025 financial results
JetBlue recorded $2.2 billion in operating revenue, down 1.5 percent compared to the same quarter in 2024.
Operating revenue per available seat mile (RASM) rose by 0.2 percent year over year, coming stronger than JetBlue’s guidance, which had anticipated outcomes between a 4.0 percent decline and flat performance. According to the carrier, the better-than-expected RASM performance was driven by steady demand trends and stronger contributions from loyalty programs, ancillary fees, and other revenue sources that exceeded internal projections.
Despite the improvement in unit revenue, profitability remained under pressure. JetBlue reported a net loss of $177 million in the fourth quarter, an increase compared to the $44 million loss in the same period of 2024.
Full year 2025 financial results
JetBlue generated $9.1 billion in operating revenue, representing a 2.3 percent decline from the prior year.
RASM for the year fell by 0.7 percent, reflecting softer unit revenue performance across the network.
The airline saw reduced overall capacity by 1.6 percent year over year.
Net loss for 2025 totaled $602 million, an improvement compared to the $795 million loss recorded in 2024, signaling incremental financial recovery.
Strategic partnerships and product investments
JetBlue outlined several initiatives as key commercial highlights.
In 2025, the airline launched its Blue Sky collaboration with United Airlines, a partnership that includes reciprocal loyalty earning and redemption, enhancing the value of JetBlue’s TrueBlue program.
The carrier also announced an agreement with Amazon Leo to upgrade onboard WiFi connectivity, with the rollout expected to begin in 2027.
