United-JetBlue “Blue Sky” Kicks Off with New Loyalty Benefits

The anticipated Blue Sky partnership between United Airlines and JetBlue has officially launched, after getting US DOT approval in July 2025.
The two carriers are introducing new benefits for loyalty program members of both carriers.
TrueBlue members can now earn points and redeem flights on United’s global network, including United Express regional flights.
MileagePlus members similarly can earn and redeem miles on most JetBlue flights, tapping into their popular leisure destinations.
When booking travel on either airline’s website or mobile app, customers can view flight options from both carriers, which simplifies trip planning and points redemption.
The Blue Sky partners plan to roll out additional benefits in early 2026, including reciprocal elite status perks, priority boarding, extra-legroom seating, same-day flight changes, and lounge access.
Additionally, United will use JetBlue’s slots at New York-JFK Terminal 6 to expand its service starting in 2027.
