Meal basis

Meal basis is the type and number of meals included in the booking price. It defines what meals, if any, are provided as part of the travel package or accommodation arrangement.

There are several common options.

  • Room only covers the room itself, with no meals included.
  • Bed and breakfast (B&B) includes a room for the night and breakfast in the morning.
  • Half board (HB) includes two meals per day—typically breakfast and dinner.
  • Full board (FB) covers three meals per day—breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • All-inclusive covers all meals, snacks, and beverages.
  • Self-catering enables guests to prepare their own meals, providing the necessary facilities (a kitchen, cooking appliances, utensils, and sometimes basic ingredients).

Meal basis gives clear information to travelers and helps them choose packages that align with their dietary preferences, budget, and travel style.
