Full board (FB)

Full board (FB) is a type of a hotel rate that, besides the room itself, includes three meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Usually, meals are served as buffets, and drinks are only included with breakfast (lunch and dinner may have one beverage included).

Other rate types are half board (HB) when breakfast and dinner are included and all-inclusive when all meals, snacks, and drinks are included.

As part of the hotel upselling strategy and revenue management, guests are sometimes offered to upgrade an HB to FB or to an all-inclusive package.
