Concessionaire

A concessionaire is a service provider with formal permission to operate a business on property owned or managed by another individual or organization.

This agreement enables airports, cruise lines, hotels, and amusement parks to generate income without directly operating every retail or service outlet. For example, many car rentals operate as concessionaires in airport terminals.

A concessionaire pays rent or a revenue‐share fee in exchange for access to space and customer traffic. The property owner may provide marketing support to drive sales.
