This role is pivotal in driving predictable business performance, portfolio health, and sustainable growth across the travel technology sector.
This position offers an opportunity to act as a deputy to the Managing Director of the Travel Profit Center, ensuring continuity, margin discipline, and operational excellence across the portfolio.
Reporting: Managing Director, Travel Profit Center (day-to-day priorities, outcomes, performance input)
Location - USA or Western/Central Europe
You Have
- 5+ years of experience in the Travel IT industry, with extensive knowledge of the U.S. and European markets
- An established network within the U.S. travel technology community and demonstrated ability to cultivate industry connections.
- Proven success in business development, client relations, and strategic consulting within the travel sector.
- Strong operational and financial acumen with a track record of driving project profitability.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commercial judgment in pricing, scoping, risk management, and margin protection.
- Travel/Travel-Tech domain expertise would be a great advantage; adjacent complex B2B environments are acceptable with strong learning capability.
Would be a plus
- Demonstrated ownership of profitability outcomes in services, consulting, or technology environments (P&L or budget accountability) would be a plus.
You Are Going To
- Drive new client acquisition and presales, ensuring strong problem–solution fit and successful project initiation.
- Grow existing accounts through upsell and strategic expansion, engaging client executives on priority initiatives.
- Strengthen AltexSoft’s presence in the travel technology ecosystem through partnerships, thought leadership, and community engagement.
- Co-own commercial success of the Travel portfolio with the Managing Director: margin governance, pricing discipline, discounting guardrails, and deal quality.
- Own financial performance for the assigned scope, including planning, forecasting, reporting, and profitability.
Run a repeatable Travel Profit Center operating cadence (portfolio, pipeline, margin reviews; MBRs; QBRs) - Ensure forecast accuracy and risk management across commercial, delivery, and financial dimensions, driving mitigations to closure.
- Act as a senior leader within the Center of Travel Technology Excellence, supporting knowledge sharing, best practices, and talent development.
- Mentor emerging leaders and serve as a deputy to the Managing Director, ensuring continuity of decision-making and operations when needed.
