Point-to-Point
Point-to-Point is a model in which flights are operated between two destinations without routing passengers through a central hub airport.
As opposed to the hub-and-spoke system, each flight connects its origin and destination cities and does not rely on intermediary transfers. Travelers benefit from fewer connections, shorter travel times, and a lower risk of baggage mishandling.
Point-to-Point model is more common among low-cost carriers (LCCs) than full-service carriers (FSCs).
This concept also applies to other modes of transportation, like buses or trains.
