Gift voucher

A gift voucher is a certificate or digital code that can be redeemed for products or services from a single or multiple brands. It can be purchased or provided for free by the company for a special date, loyalty program achievement, or as compensation for a nuisance. 

The voucher is redeemed by entering the code during checkout or presenting the physical certificate/card in person. 

Vouchers typically come with terms like expiration dates, non-refundable status, and usage restrictions (e.g., only for specific services). For example, there may be a travel voucher for a flight, but only valid in economy class.
