Familiarization tour

A familiarization tour (or FAM tour) is a complimentary or heavily discounted trip offered by a destination management company (DMC) or tour operator and offered to travel agents or influencers to showcase a location, hotel, or cruise line.

The purpose is to give participants a firsthand travel experience to better promote and sell these services to their clients. FAM tours include visits to local attractions, restaurants, and other key sites.
