Circle Pacific fare

Circle Pacific fare refers to a special type of an airline ticket designed for journeys that essentially “circle” the Pacific Ocean. 

It applies to travel between IATA Area 1, which includes North and South America, and IATA Area 3, which covers Asia, Australia, and the South Pacific, where the traveler crosses the Pacific in one direction via the North Pacific and returns via the South Pacific. 

A key element is that the itinerary also includes at least one flight within Area 3, making the trip a large, loop-style international journey rather than a simple return ticket.

Instead of pricing each long-haul segment separately as one-way or round-trip tickets, Circle Pacific fare allows airlines and alliances to offer a single fare structure that encourages extended travel and tourism spanning several regions in a single direction of travel. 

It is particularly useful for travelers combining destinations in North America, Asia, and Oceania into a single itinerary.
