Sabre Introduces Agentic AI as Intelligence Layer

Sabre Corporation unveiled its latest innovations at CES 2026 on January 7, 2026, featuring a live demonstration of its agentic AI for travel.
AI-powered travel assistant
The system allows travel agents to manage trips end-to-end using conversational interfaces, allowing them to shop, book, service, and pay for itineraries entirely via voice or chat.
The demonstration showcased an AI assistant capable of building traveler profiles, incorporating loyalty program data from programs such as SkyMiles and Hilton Honors, and sourcing flights and hotels from Sabre’s GDS inventory.
This builds on Sabre’s September 2025 launch of agentic-ready APIs and an MCP server.
Platform strategy and integration
At CES, Sabre emphasized that its AI platform is designed as an intelligence layer rather than a consumer-facing service. Travelers are unlikely to interact directly with a Sabre-branded interface.
Instead, airlines, travel agencies, and booking platforms can integrate the AI into their own services, allowing customers to plan and manage trips without leaving familiar brands.
