Booking to Slash $550M Costs With AI Transformation Program

Booking Holdings has set a target to achieve $500–$550 million in annual savings as part of its ongoing Transformation Program, according to the Q3 2025 earnings report released recently.
This program is driven by the company’s increasing integration of AI tools to improve efficiency and customer experience. The Transformation Program aims to streamline operations, simplify decision-making, reduce complexity, and modernize systems.
During Q3 2025, Booking Holdings realized $70 million in savings through the program, primarily by optimizing sales, staff expenses, and other operating costs.
Booking also shared that its new AI tools are already delivering positive results by enhancing user experiences, increasing conversion rates, and reducing cancellations.
For example, Booking.com rolled out AI-powered Smart Messenger and Auto-Reply features that help accommodation providers respond faster to guest inquiries. Meanwhile, Kayak launched AI Mode, a search tool that understands natural language questions and offers personalized travel suggestions.
