Preferred supplier

A preferred supplier is an airline, hotel chain, car rental, or other travel provider that has entered into a special agreement with a travel agency or corporate travel program. 

The preferred supplier gains priority placement on distribution channels, while corporate travel partnerships guarantee the supplier a steady volume of bookings from the company’s employees.

In return, partners earn higher commissions and possibly an extra bonus for meeting sales targets. The preferred supplier may also offer perks to partners, such as complimentary upgrades, better cancellation terms, or bonus loyalty points.
