Hotel chain
A hotel chain is a company that owns, manages, or franchises multiple hotel properties (chain hotels).
A hotel chain may operate under a single brand or include a portfolio of sub-brands targeting different customer segments. For example, Marriott International has a portfolio of 37 brands, including The Ritz-Carlton, Moxy Hotels, JW Marriott, and W Hotels.
Though hotel chains usually span multiple regions, they are unified by shared branding, service standards, and often loyalty programs. This helps ensure consistency, since a well-known chain provides a predictable level of quality and safety, no matter where the hotel is located.
