We are looking for a Solution Architect with deep expertise in software architecture and strong hands-on technical capabilities to lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performing systems. In this role, you will define architectural blueprints, provide technical leadership to development teams, and ensure that solutions align with both business objectives and modern technology standards.
You will be responsible for setting the technical direction, overseeing implementation, and driving architectural consistency across projects. A high level of proficiency with the Microsoft technology stack is essential, along with extensive experience designing cloud solutions on both Azure and AWS. You will work closely with engineering teams and engage directly with executive stakeholders, including the CTO and other C-level leaders, to shape technology strategy and guide key architectural decisions.

The solution serves individuals, families, businesses, and communities seeking fine-grained content control and robust online safety. The system comprises multiple integrated components that work together to provide high-quality filtering capabilities while offering exceptional flexibility in configuration. At the core of the platform is a suite of web-based portals that support user management, filtering settings, and administrative controls. These portals are continuously enhanced and extended to ensure a unique, user-centric filtering experience without compromising browsing security or performance.
You Have
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including 3+ years in Solution Architecture or Enterprise Architecture roles.
- Strong experience designing large-scale distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven workflows.
- Proven expertise building cloud-native and serverless architectures, ideally on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, IAM, EventBridge, SQS).
- Hands-on development experience with Node.js, preferably in serverless-first environments.
- Stellar understanding of modern front-end ecosystems, especially React, TypeScript, and Next.js with server-side rendering.
- Solid grasp of architectural patterns, API design (OAuth2, OpenID Connect), security best practices, and cloud governance.
- Vast experience with PostgreSQL, stored procedures, JSON-based schemas, and data modeling for modern cloud systems.
- Proficiency with DevOps workflows and IaC (Terraform/CDK), CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (ECS preferred over EKS).
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-level.
- High emotional intelligence, adaptability, and ability to operate in a consulting / advisory model.
- Stack-agnostic mindset and ability to work with evolving technologies and adapt architecture decisions as the stack changes over time.
- Ability to challenge assumptions, validate architectures, and justify solution decisions with clarity and evidence.
Would be a plus
- Experience modernizing or rewriting legacy systems into cloud-native architectures.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF or similar).
- Familiarity with data engineering pipelines, data lakes, real-time processing, and analytics platforms.
- Experience working with hybrid environments (legacy .NET + modern cloud/serverless).
- Experience with AI/ML integration and AWS AI services (e.g., Bedrock, Amazon Q).
- Experience with architecture documentation using C4, ADRs, and high-quality onboarding materials.
- Basic knowledge of Python (for AI/ML purposes).
You Are Going To
- Lead the design of modern, cloud-native, and serverless architectures aligned with the client’s long-term technology vision.
- Drive the rewrite and modernization of selected legacy .NET modules into Node.js/React services.
- Ensure solutions follow defined architectural guidelines and comply with the overarching technical strategy.
- Participate in early-stage discovery and translate complex business needs into clear technical strategies.
- Build architectural documentation (C4 models, ADRs, onboarding guides) to an immediate-readiness level for engineering teams.
- Evaluate existing .NET modules and define strategies for gradual migration into the target stack.
- Leverage PostgreSQL capabilities to increase performance and reduce unnecessary service complexity.
- Support the transition to a new architecture while maintaining operational continuity.
- Provide technical guidance to engineers and tech leads across backend & frontend domains.
- Support the adoption of AWS AI/ML services within the product ecosystem.
- Conduct PoCs to validate technical approaches, AI integrations, and cloud-native design patterns.
- Collaborate with frontend teams designing SSR-based solutions using React + Next.js.
- Ensure scalability, security, observability, and maintainability across all system components.
- Work closely with Product, Business, DevOps, and engineering teams to support decision-making and solution delivery.
- Engage regularly with stakeholders to communicate architecture choices, risks, and trade-offs.
- Support estimation, scoping, and decomposition of new features and rewrite initiatives.
