WeTravel Raises $92M to Develop AI Trip Planning

WeTravel, a booking and payments platform, has raised $92 million in a Series C funding round.
The round was led by Sapphire Ventures and included investments from Left Lane Capital, Base10, Cross Creek, and several angel investors.
This capital injection has tripled WeTravel’s valuation and signals investor confidence in its business strategy and growth potential.
Specializing in multi-day trips, WeTravel’s platform combines itinerary building, booking, global payment processing, and trip management.
The $92 million injection will accelerate the expansion of WeTravel’s global payment infrastructure and the development of AI-powered tools to automate complex workflows for travel operators.
Planned AI initiatives include tools for creating interactive itineraries and automating administrative tasks like invoice reviews.
Travel companies are progressively implementing AI to assist with trip planning and managing itineraries. For example, LATAM Airlines Group recently introduced a new AI travel agent for travel planning. Similarly, Yatra Online’s DIYA offers trip planning, search, comparison, and instant booking within a single interface.
