United Adds Free Apple TV+ to 130K Seatback Screens

United Airlines announced a deal with Apple TV+, making Apple Original series available for free on over 130,000 seatback screens and within the United mobile app.
The lineup currently features shows like Severance, Ted Lasso, and Silo, with The Morning Show and Bad Sisters to follow in September.
The upgrade is part of the airline’s United Next initiative, aiming to install over 300,000 27-inch seatback screens across its fleet, the most among US carriers.
United promises a continuously expanding library of over 250 episodes, documentaries, and films updated monthly.
This move complements other recent enhancements like Starlink WiFi installations and AirTag-based luggage tracking.
A couple weeks prior, United’s partnership with JetBlue got approved by DOT, allowing both carriers to list and sell each other’s flights and provide shared loyalty perks.
