TUI Becomes Launch Customer for Amadeus Navitaire Stratos Platform

TUI Airlines

TUI Group has agreed to become a launch customer for Amadeus Navitaire Stratos, a next-generation airline retailing platform designed to modernize shopping, booking, and offer management for low-cost and hybrid carriers.

Under the agreement, TUI Airlines will be among the first carriers to implement the cloud-native Stratos platform, which is built to support modern retailing concepts such as dynamic offers, personalized merchandising, and enhanced ancillary sales.

The move marks a significant step in TUI’s ongoing digital transformation and long-standing technology partnership with Amadeus. For TUI, this is expected to improve how customers search, compare, and purchase flights and related travel products, while giving the airline greater agility in creating and managing offers across channels.

Peter Glade, Chief Commercial Officer, TUI Airlines, said: “With Stratos, we will be able to create contextual and relevant offers for travelers, including ancillaries. It will elevate our retailing capabilities with intelligent recommendations, dynamic offers, and a shopping cart that makes it easy for customers to convert their selections into an order or save them for later”.

The platform aligns with industry efforts around IATA’s Offer and Order framework, which aims to simplify airline retailing and distribution by separating offer creation from fulfillment. By adopting Stratos at launch, TUI positions itself early in this shift toward more customer-centric and data-driven airline commerce.

The implementation of the new system will be led by TUI InfoTec, the group’s technology arm, working closely with Amadeus to ensure a phased transition from the existing systems.

This autumn, Amadeus has partnered with SITA and the Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO) to enhance the accuracy and transparency of emissions data across the aviation industry.
