Travelport Adds TAP Air Portugal NDC Content for 29 Countries

Travelport has announced that TAP Air Portugal’s NDC content is now accessible to travel agents using Travelport+ in 29 countries, including Portugal, the US, the UK, and most European Union countries.

The initial distribution agreement was announced in November 2024.

“This upcoming launch of our NDC content in Travelport+ will be a pivotal moment in our decades-long relationship,” said Mario Cruz, CCO at TAP Air Portugal.

Agents can now view, compare, book, and service TAP’s NDC content.

Shortly after the launch, TAP Air Portugal announced the successful implementation of Bluetooth connectivity on its in-flight entertainment (IFE) systems in economy class on its long-haul aircraft.

About a month ago, Travelport earned the highest level of NDC Certification from IATA, which allows the GDS to authorize third-party developers as certified access points to its Travelport+ NDC APIs.
