STARLUX to Launch Taipei–Phoenix Route, Signs Interline Agreement with American

STARLUX Airlines and American Airlines announced an interline agreement that allows travelers to book trips under a single ticket and benefit from through-checked baggage.
It is not a full alliance-level deal: Travelers cannot earn or redeem American AAdvantage miles on STARLUX flights or access status perks.
STARLUX will also launch a nonstop route from Taipei (TPE) to Phoenix (PHX), a key hub for American Airlines.
For American’s passengers, the agreement provides new access to Taipei and other Asian destinations through STARLUX’s network.
The Phoenix–Taipei route is set to launch on January 15, 2026.
In July 2025, American Airlines also requested the US Department of Transportation (DOT) to establish a codeshare agreement with Canada’s Porter Airlines.
