Singapore Tourism Board Partners with OpenAI to Boost Tourism Tech

On July 23, 2025, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with OpenAI, marking the first agreement of its kind between OpenAI and a national tourism authority in Asia.
The MoU aims to promote responsible AI adoption within Singapore’s tourism sector, with a focus on improving visitor experiences and strengthening destination marketing.
OpenAI’s technology is expected to support tourism operators by providing data analysis, demand forecasting, and resource planning tools.
STB also plans to explore use cases involving robotics, AI concierges, and self-driving tour vehicles.
Jordan Tan, CTO at STB, commented: “This collaboration aligns with our Tourism 2040 roadmap to prepare the industry for evolving technological advancements, [...] from helping businesses boost operational efficiency to enhancing visitor experience through greater personalisation and engagement.”
