Premium Seat Sales Will Bring United $15.7B in Q4 2025

United Airlines has announced that it expects to generate its highest-ever quarterly revenue, driven by strong travel demand.
The airline anticipates an adjusted profit between $3.00 and $3.50 per share for Q4 2025 (about $15.7 billion in revenue), surpassing analyst estimates of $2.86 per share.
In Q3 2025, United reported a profit of $2.78 per share on revenue of $15.23 billion, representing a 2.6 percent increase over the previous year.
The company benefited from a surge in travel bookings, particularly in premium cabins, which saw a 6 percent increase in seat sales.
Despite increased operating costs, United’s investments in enhancing the customer experience (upgrading lounges and improving in-flight Wi-Fi) are yielding positive results.
CEO Scott Kirby’s emphasis on customer experience investments signals a long-term strategy to differentiate the brand and deepen loyalty.
Earlier in 2025, the airline expanded its capacity by nearly 6 percent compared to the previous year, capturing growing travel demand.
This aligns with a broader industry trend of airlines increasingly benefiting from higher-paying travelers. Delta Air Lines also reported substantial Q3 2025 profits, highlighting a 9 percent increase in revenue from premium seats.
