Portman Buys Westin Cincinnati Hotel, Plans Renovation

Portman, a real estate development company, has acquired the Westin Cincinnati, a full-service hotel.
The property offers 456 rooms, over 30,000 sq ft of meeting and event space, an on-site restaurant, and a fitness center. It is located in Cincinnati's commercial and cultural hub, near landmarks like Paycor Stadium, Great American Ballpark, the Duke Energy Convention Center, and several arts venues.
Portman plans to explore a full-scale renovation to better serve business travelers.
This marks Portman’s second Westin-branded property and its seventh hotel, totaling over 3,000 rooms and more than $1 billion in managed assets.
Portman also serves as master developer for a planned $828 million Convention District redevelopment, which includes a 700-room Marriott hotel opening in 2028.
Other notable acquisitions this month include Hays buying Victoria Travel, Marriott acquiring citizenM, and Blue Coast buying Courtyard by Marriott.
