Mews Adds Uber Rides as Hotels Try to Turn Transport Into Revenue

Mews and Uber are working on an integration that will let hotels book Uber rides from inside the Mews hospitality operating system.
The partnership was announced ahead of Mews Unfold in Amsterdam. The service is still in development, with a pilot expected later in 2026.
Mews is a hotel technology platform used for property management, payments, guest services, and daily operations. By adding Uber, Mews wants hotels to manage transport in the same system they already use to handle stays and payments.
The deal solves a common front-desk problem
Guests often ask hotels for help with transport. This can include airport pickups, business meetings, late-night rides, or local transfers. In many hotels, staff still manage these requests through separate apps, phone calls, or manual notes.
The new integration would make the process more connected. Hotel teams will be able to request Uber rides, track trips in real time, and add charges to the guest folio through Mews Payments.
Uber is moving deeper into travel
The partnership also fits Uber’s wider travel strategy. In April 2026, Uber announced a deal with Expedia Group to add hotel bookings inside the Uber app for US users. The feature gives users access to more than 700,000 hotel listings, with Vrbo vacation rentals expected later.
Uber has already added Expedia hotel bookings to its app, giving US users access to hotel inventory directly inside Uber. The Mews partnership takes that strategy into hotel operations: instead of only helping travelers book accommodation, Uber is also trying to become part of how hotels manage guest transport during the stay.
