Marriott Brings Luxury Collection to Rhodes as Greece Goes More Premium

Marriott International has opened Amoh, a Luxury Collection Resort, Rhodes, marking the first property from The Luxury Collection on the Greek island of Rhodes.
The resort is located in Pefki, above Kavos Beach and close to Lindos, one of the island’s best-known historic towns.
The opening gives Marriott a stronger position in Greece’s luxury leisure market. Rhodes is already a major summer destination, and Marriott is now targeting travelers who want a more premium stay with beach access, wellness, private pools, and local cultural character.
The resort combines beach access, dining, and wellness
Amoh has 197 rooms and suites, many with sea views and private pools. Its largest option, the Rhoda Presidential Suite, includes a bedroom, living area, large terrace, and direct access to a private pool.
Guests can walk to Kavos Beach and Kymata Beach, both overlooking the Aegean Sea. The resort also offers eight restaurants and bars, indoor and outdoor pools, outdoor tennis courts, and a 220-square-meter fitness center with Technogym and Pilates equipment.
The on-site Elispa spa includes six treatment rooms, a steam bath, and a sauna. Its treatments use locally sourced Greek ingredients, which helps connect the resort experience to the destination.
Why Rhodes is a strong fit for luxury hotels
Rhodes has long been known for beach holidays, but it also has cultural appeal, especially around Lindos and its ancient sites. This makes the island attractive for hotel brands that want to offer more than a standard resort stay.
For Rhodes, more branded luxury hotels can help attract higher-spending travelers. These guests usually spend not only on rooms, but also on dining, spa treatments, excursions, and local experiences.
For Marriott, Amoh adds another high-end Mediterranean resort to its portfolio and gives Marriott Bonvoy members a new luxury option in Greece.
Marriott keeps expanding lifestyle and luxury brands
The Rhodes opening follows another recent Marriott expansion. The company recently launched its first Autograph Collection property in India with NoorMahal, Delhi NCR Karnal, Autograph Collection Hotels.
Both openings show Marriott’s focus on hotels with a stronger local identity. In Rhodes, The Luxury Collection is tied to beaches, wellness, and Greek island heritage. In India, Autograph Collection is being used for a palace-style hotel focused on weddings, events, and leisure travel.
Marriott posted record hotel openings in 2025 and signed a record number of luxury deals, with EMEA standing out as its fastest-growing luxury region. Amoh’s debut in Rhodes follows the same direction: Marriott is adding more high-end properties in destinations where strong leisure demand, local culture, and premium resort experiences can support luxury growth.
