Juniper Buys Deem as Travelport Makes Corporate Travel Lighter

Juniper Group has acquired Deem from Travelport, three years after Travelport bought the corporate travel booking platform from Enterprise Holdings.
The companies announced the deal in June 2026, but did not share the price. Deem will keep its own brand, operate independently, and continue under its current leadership team.
Deem is used by corporations and travel management companies to book and manage business trips. The platform supports flights, hotels, car rentals, rail, travel policies, and trip management. This makes it useful for companies that need more control over employee travel, spending, and approvals.
Travelport shifts back to its core business
Travelport bought Deem in 2023 to connect it more closely with Travelport Plus, its main travel retailing platform. Travelport says that integration has now been completed. Deem can work with Travelport Plus while still supporting multiple global distribution systems, or GDSs.
By selling Deem, Travelport can focus more on distribution and agency technology, while still working with Deem as a preferred partner.
Why Juniper wants Deem
Juniper Group is part of Constellation Software, a company that owns and manages specialized software businesses. Juniper already has a travel technology division focused on booking and connectivity tools. Deem gives it a stronger position in corporate travel and expands its presence in the US market.
Corporate travel platforms need constant investment. Companies now expect booking tools to be easier to use, more connected to expense systems, and better at handling policy and traveler data. Deem gives Juniper a product that serves both business travelers and travel managers.
The Deem sale also comes as corporate travel platforms are becoming more automated and connected. Recently, BCD added MCP to TripSource, showing the same direction: travel management tools are moving beyond simple booking and toward smarter systems that can support policy checks, trip management, spending control, and AI-powered workflows.
