IBS Software Teams Up with AWS to Modernize Airline Retailing

IBS Software has signed a multi-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to focus on innovations in airline retailing operations.
The initiative will combine IBS Software’s domain expertise in travel technology and airline commerce with AWS’s global cloud infrastructure and AI capabilities. Together, they aim to improve how airlines design, price, and sell their products.
At the heart of this collaboration is the development of iRetail, a cloud-native, AI-first retailing platform built by IBS Software and powered by AWS infrastructure.
This platform uses a modular architecture that supports the entire sales process—from offer creation and order management to payment, settlement, and post-travel service delivery.
The agreement also includes a joint research roadmap extending through 2027, focusing on the development of AI-driven retail and personalization capabilities for airlines.
