Giata Buys Smartseer to Boost Hotel Personalization

Giata Group, a hotel content and mapping solutions provider, has acquired Smartseer, an AI-driven decision-making platform. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition will combine Giata’s extensive hotel database and advanced mapping capabilities with Smartseer’s AI technology to improve inventory-demand matching for better personalization.
Smartseer, formerly part of BD4 Group and relaunched as an independent brand in 2023, generates real-time, customized recommendations and automates decision-making, helping travel companies to deliver personalized offers.
The integrated solution will support online travel agencies, tour operators, bed banks, and global distribution systems (GDS) in presenting travelers with more relevant, timely offers.
