Finnair and Delta to Add New Europe Routes for Summer 2026

Frame

Finnair has confirmed new scheduled summer 2026 flights to four Southern European destinations: Florence, Catania, Valencia, and the Greek island of Kos.

Flights will operate from spring through autumn to match the region’s peak leisure travel demand.

  • Helsinki–Florence: Two weekly flights from April 2 to October 18, 2026.
  • Helsinki–Valencia: Two weekly flights from April 11 to October 24, 2026.
  • Helsinki–Catania (Sicily): Three weekly flights from March 31 to October 21, 2026.
  • Helsinki–Kos: Two weekly flights from May 5 to October 24, 2026.

In parallel, Delta Air Lines announced enhancements to its Boston-to-Europe summer 2026 schedule, adding new nonstop connections:

  • Boston–Madrid: Daily flights from May 16.
  • Boston–Nice: Three weekly flights from May 17 (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays).

Delta will also expedite other route launches:

  • Boston–Barcelona: Daily flights from May 7.
  • Boston–Milan: Four weekly flights from May 16.

These changes increase Delta’s Boston-to-Europe offerings to 12 destinations next summer and strengthen its competitive position against carriers such as JetBlue, which also provides transatlantic flights to Madrid.

In July, Delta also announced two new routes from LAX starting in June 2026. The airline will offer around 1,925 weekly seats to Hong Kong and 3,360 weekly seats to Chicago.
