Delta Launches Tool for Local Travel Experience Inspiration

Delta Air Lines has launched Delta Locals, a trip planning tool focused on authentic experiences.
The platform is designed to connect travelers with recommendations from residents in popular destinations. Current guides include itineraries for Los Angeles, Tokyo, Patagonia, and Sicily, with Delta preparing to expand the list of destinations through 2025 and 2026.
Each guide draws on contributions from local chefs, creatives, and cultural influencers who share their favorite restaurants, neighborhoods, outdoor experiences, and hidden gems through video content.
Travelers can explore the platform through a dedicated website, DeltaLocals.com, which features an interactive globe that users can spin and click to navigate to available destination guides.
The initiative responds to the growing demand among travelers for more authentic and community-driven experiences, with other major brands reacting to this need as well.
For example, Airbnb relaunched its Services and Experiences offerings this year, and Booking.com recently integrated more than 150,000 new attractions from FareHarbor, including walking tours, train rides, ziplining experiences, and boat excursions.
