British Airways to Stop Seasonal Gatwick–Las Vegas Service

British Airways has announced plans to discontinue its direct flights from London Gatwick Airport (LGW) to Las Vegas (LAS) after October 25, 2025.
The Gatwick–Las Vegas route has been a seasonal service and will not return in March 2026, unlike previous years.
This adjustment is part of British Airways' broader strategy to concentrate long-haul operations at London Heathrow (LHR), its primary hub.
Currently, British Airways offers approximately 996 seats per week from Gatwick to Las Vegas, primarily served by Boeing 777 aircraft. In contrast, the Heathrow–Las Vegas route provides over 2,300 weekly seats and is operated by newer Airbus A350-1000 aircraft.
The airline plans to expand nonstop flights between Heathrow and several US cities, including Las Vegas, in time for the 2026 summer travel season.
Earlier this summer, British Airways signed a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) supply agreement with EcoCeres, expecting to achieve an estimated 80 percent lifecycle reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
