Blackstone to Acquire Resort from Allegiant for $200 Million

On July 7, 2025, Blackstone Real Estate agreed to acquire the 785-room Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor from Allegiant Travel Co. for $200 million. The deal is expected to close during Q3 2025.
The resort opened in December 2023, but delays, pandemic setbacks, hurricane damage, and a fire delayed its financial breakeven.
Q2 2024 earnings flagged a $15 million cash loss and $25 million EBITDAR. Q4 2024 saw a $321 million impairment charge.
While Q1 2025 EBITDAR was roughly $4.8 million, Allegiant initiated a sale to refocus on airline operations. CEO Gregory Anderson said they "plan to use the proceeds from the sale to repay debt and strengthen the balance sheet."
The property is located on Florida’s Gulf Coast. It includes multiple F&B venues, two pools, a championship golf course, and 60,000 sq ft indoor meeting space.
