RevPASH
RevPASH stands for Revenue per Available Seat Hour. It’s a hospitality performance metric used mainly by restaurants and food outlets in hotels to measure how efficiently seating capacity is generating revenue.
The formula for RevPASH is Total Revenue ÷ (Available Seats × Operating Hours).
This metric helps managers evaluate how well their seating areas are utilized during different periods of the day. For example, low RevPASH during lunch hours might indicate slow service, poor table turnover, or low demand. In contrast, high RevPASH during dinner service shows strong performance and efficient table management.
RevPASH works like RevPAR (Revenue per Available Room) used in hotels. Together, these indicators support better revenue management decisions, helping hospitality businesses adjust pricing, staffing, and marketing to maximize profits across all outlets.
