Next Generation Storefront (NGS)
A Next Generation Storefront (NGS) is a framework introduced by the Airline Tariff Publishing Company (ATPCO) to improve how airlines display and sell fares through digital channels. It organizes flight offers by class of service and product attributes rather than just price, helping travelers see the full value of what they are purchasing.
This model is part of a broader industry shift toward airline retailing, driven by new distribution capability (NDC), which allows airlines to showcase branded fares, sell ancillaries like baggage or meals, and create more personalized offers.
NGS improves transparency for travelers, making it easier to understand fare differences at a glance. It enhances merchandising opportunities for airlines and online travel agencies (OTAs), helping them compete on price and overall value.
