Landside (in the airport)

Landside refers to all areas of an airport accessible to the general public without passing through security or immigration controls.

The landside areas facilitate passenger processing, provide public access to airport services, and support commercial activities. This includes entrances, ticketing counters, waiting lounges, retail zones, parking lots, and public transportation connections.

From the landside, passengers proceed to security checkpoints and passport control to enter the airside zone, which leads to boarding gates and aircraft.
