Cut-off window

A cut-off window is a period before a scheduled service, such as a hotel check-in or tour departure, during which bookings, modifications, or cancellations are no longer accepted.

It is often set in hours or days. For example, a guided tour may have a 4-hour cut-off for registration, while a hotel could have a two-day cut-off for free cancellation.

Cut-off windows help ensure operational readiness, such as staffing, catering, or transportation, and avoid last-minute changes that could disrupt service quality.
