Yahoo Names Navan as Its Unified Travel-and-Expense Platform

Yahoo has chosen Navan as its travel and expense management platform, replacing legacy workflows with an integrated system for booking, payments, and expense reconciliation.

Yahoo’s COO, Matt Sanchez, linked the move to broader operational modernization and AI-enabled productivity, while Navan said the deployment is designed to reduce manual processes and support the needs of travelers and finance teams. The companies also highlighted targets around stronger policy control and spending oversight.

Yahoo targets lower leakage and stronger spend visibility

For travel managers, airlines, and corporate travel sellers, the stated focus areas point to two immediate levers: higher self-service trip changes within the platform and tighter compliance to reduce off-platform “leakage.”

Yahoo and Navan said the program aims for real-time visibility and a 7–10 percent reduction in total travel spend, which they attributed to broader inventory access and more direct airline content connections. If achieved, those outcomes would reinforce momentum toward integrated T&E stacks over fragmented booking-and-expense setups.

Navan expands enterprise customer list after late-2025 IPO

The Yahoo deal comes as Navan continues to build its enterprise footprint following its late 2025 IPO.

The company raised about $923 million in its IPO and listed on Nasdaq under the ticker “NAVN,” with the offering valuing the company at roughly $4.7 billion by the end of that day.

Yahoo, meanwhile, has operated as a private company since Apollo completed its acquisition in 2021, with Verizon retaining a 10 percent stake—an ownership backdrop that has kept focus on operational changes and efficiency initiatives.
