Wizz Air Equips Fleet with StorkJet and Avtech Systems

In March 2025, Wizz Air began equipping its entire fleet with StorkJet’s FlyGuide FPO (Flight Path Optimization), an AI tool that analyzes aircraft performance and flight data to recommend optimal speed and altitude for each flight phase.

The solution combines machine learning and high-resolution weather data to deliver efficiency insights beyond traditional Flight Management Systems.

During trials, 88 percent of Wizz Air’s pilots used FlyGuide FPO on almost every flight, praising its clarity and better situational awareness. More than 10,000 trial flights demonstrated fuel savings of 0.5 to 1 percent per flight.

The deployment of FlyGuide FPO spans all aircraft types in the airline’s fleet, serving over 2,000 pilots.

In August 2025, Wizz Air further expanded its in-flight technology by implementing Avtech’s Aventus and SIGMA systems.

Aventus provides real-time wind and temperature data to optimize altitude and trajectory decisions, while SIGMA alerts about turbulence and weather hazards.

Pilots now receive visualizations on latitude, longitude, altitude, time, as well as optimized route guidance during flight.
