United Airlines and Travelport have announced a multi-year strategic partnership.

As part of the agreement, Travelport will receive early access to United’s NDC technology roadmap, allowing both companies to work closely on developing new features and delivering advanced booking tools to travel agencies and corporate travel buyers.

Dedicated development teams from both organizations will focus on building new capabilities specifically for Travelport+, the company’s modern retailing platform for travel agencies with integrated automation tools.

With early access to United’s NDC-enabled products and services, Travelport will be able to launch new features at a faster pace. This includes the introduction of United’s suite of Online Booking Tool extras on Travelport’s Deem platform.

Over time, agencies and travelers will see new capabilities, such as the ability to pool unused United travel credits, enroll directly in the United MileagePlus loyalty program, and use United Jetstream amenity funds as a form of payment for ancillary purchases.

These enhancements will also become available within Travelport+, giving travel agents access to the same upgraded tools.

The deployment will occur in phases starting in early 2026.

This announcement comes shortly after Travelport joined the NDC FastTrack initiative, a program launched earlier this year by Accelya to speed up the travel industry’s transition to modern retailing. The initiative offers a framework for aligning technology, improving operational readiness, and solving industry-wide NDC challenges for airlines and resellers.
