United & American Add Routes to Mexico City and Punta Cana

On July 10, 2025, United Airlines announced the launch of a daily winter seasonal flight from Denver (DEN) to Mexico City (MEX) from October 26, 2025, through March 27, 2026.
This restores a Denver‑Mexico City link not offered since 2018, competing against Aeroméxico and low-cost carriers.
On October 26, the airline will also begin daily year-round service from Denver to Punta Cana (PUJ).
This route connects Denver with the Caribbean resort, marking United's westernmost flight to the Dominican Republic.
On July 11, 2025, American Airlines announced the start of daily service between Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Mexico City (MEX) from October 26, 2025, through March 28, 2026, joining a route already served by United, Aeroméxico, Volaris, and Viva Aerobus.
This expansion is part of a broader winter push: The airline plans a 10 percent seat capacity increase in Mexico, the Caribbean, and Latin America compared to the previous winter, adding holiday flights to Queretaro and Santo Domingo.
Both carriers have made tickets available.
