TSA Launches One Stop Security for UK Arrivals at Dallas and Atlanta

On July 22, 2025, the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) started launching the One Stop Security (OSS) pilot program.
The first implementation allows passengers from London Heathrow to skip TSA rescreening and baggage reclaim when connecting through Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) and Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson (ATL).
TSA and US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) partner with applicable airports and airlines to transfer passengers and checked luggage directly to domestic connections.
American Airlines is the first US carrier to roll out OSS on Heathrow–DFW routes, with Delta planning to launch in Atlanta later in July.
The goal of the initiative is to reduce connection times and ease congestion.
Geoff Freeman, CEO of the US Travel Association, said that the OSS program is “just in time for America 250, the 2026 World Cup, and the 2028 Olympics."
On the other hand, he also cautioned against a proposed $250 visitor visa fee in Big Beautiful Bill, warning that such policies could counteract OSS gains and hurt inbound tourism.
In the EU, passengers arriving from flights screened under equivalent security standards can connect without additional security checks at airports like Amsterdam Schiphol, Frankfurt, and Paris Charles de Gaulle.
Tocumen International Airport (Panama City) is another major hub where passengers transiting between North and South America can bypass additional security when connecting through trusted regions.
