Ahead of its commercial launch, Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s new national carrier, signed a global distribution agreement with Amadeus, granting the airline access to Amadeus’ platform and network.

The partnership aligns with Riyadh Air’s goal of serving more than 100 destinations by 2030 and supports Saudi Arabia’s National Aviation Strategy and Vision 2030 initiative aimed at tourism growth.

The agreement includes the distribution of Riyadh Air’s NDC content, enabling the airline to deliver rich travel options.

The carrier is preparing to begin operations by late 2025 with Boeing 787 Dreamliners and Airbus A321neos. It plans to roll out up to fifty A350s by 2030.

Riyadh Air is projected to contribute $20 billion to Saudi Arabia’s non-oil GDP and create more than 200,000 jobs.

Earlier this summer, Saudi Arabia’s national airline Saudia launched Amadeus Nevio, an offer and order-based system, positioning itself among the first major carriers globally to adopt Order-based retailing.
