SAS & Aeromexico Codeshare: New Routes to Mexico via the US

SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) and Aeromexico have launched a new codeshare agreement effective December 1, 2025.
Through this new partnership, SAS passengers can now connect from Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Oslo to Mexico City by routing through ten major North American hubs, including San Francisco, Boston, Newark, Seattle, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Washington D.C., and Toronto.
The agreement also benefits Aeromexico customers, who gain improved access to destinations across Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
This collaboration expands on the momentum created when SAS joined the SkyTeam alliance in September 2024. Through the alliance, members of EuroBonus and Aeromexico Rewards can earn and redeem miles across both networks, while having access to priority check-in, priority boarding, and airport lounges.
According to SAS Executive Vice President Paul Verhagen, the partnership strengthens the role of Copenhagen as a key hub while opening convenient access to Mexico City, Guadalajara, Cancun, and numerous cultural destinations.
Aeromexico Senior Vice President Giancarlo Mulinelli added that the agreement helps the airline attract more Scandinavian travelers by leveraging the reach of its 14 codeshare partners and by showcasing Mexico’s growing appeal as a leisure and business destination.
Recently, Aeromexico announced plans to introduce a new business economy class that will offer travelers a more spacious and comfortable option at a price point below traditional business class. In addition to upgrading cabins, the airline plans to refresh aircraft interiors, improve in-flight technology, and enhance its network of VIP lounges.
