SAP Concur’s New AI Agents Book Travel, Manage Expenses

SAP Concur has officially launched its AI Booking Agent and Receipt Analysis Agent as part of its broader Joule AI Copilot suite.

The Booking Agent allows travelers to create travel itineraries by describing their needs in natural language. For example, a user can ask it to book a flight, and the Booking Agent generates personalized, company-policy-compliant options.

It displays pricing and travel-class justifications to avoid budget overruns.

The Receipt Analysis Agent helps with expense management by automatically reading and interpreting scanned receipts. When key details, such as an address, are missing, it uses contextual information, like the vendor name, date, or trip details, to fill in the gaps.

The Joule AI Copilot also integrates the Expense Report Validation Agent, which guides employees through the steps of submitting expense reports, and the Meeting Location Planner Agent, which recommends meeting spots by analyzing attendee locations, flight options, travel costs, and travel time.

Earlier this month, SAP Concur partnered with Amex GBT, introducing Complete, an AI-powered travel and expense solution that integrates travel booking, servicing, payments, and expense management.
